The largest in the world of Robots Contest – under this definition lists the international competition of robots RoboGames in Guinness World Records. Regular competitions were opened today (23.04.2010) in San Francisco (USA). They are attended by hundreds of robots from dozens of countries. For three days, robots will compete in 50 different categories (or sports) – from different types of fighting and acrobatics to soccer and weightlifting. A separate group perform combat robots, which will blow up, burn down, and tear down, and art robots to show “Beauty and charm” no worse than girls on the podium. In any case, it was at previous Olympics robots.

The idea to organize the original Olympic games robots came up American engineer David Calkins (David Calkins) at the beginning of the century. In 2004, under his leadership held its first competition RoboGames. Thus, this year the best robots from around the world will gather in San Francisco for the seventh time. The only requirement for participants – weight of the robot can be up to 150 kilograms.
