In the zoo in St. Louis (USA) dead polar bears were replaced by robots. In recent years in this zoo – for different reasons – had died a few polar bears. Now, robots polar bears are part of the zoo.

Perhaps this is an emerging trend that will take the other zoos of the world? Although, frankly, it undermines the whole philosophy of zoos as a cultural phenomenon.

Population not amused by fake polar bears at the zoo. Moreover, the polar bears – are landmark images of endangered species of animals and plants on our planet.

Can electronic copy to replace the living creatures in the zoo?
How they will be reminded of the dead polar bears (today only 81 polar bear remains in American zoos)?
How real is the same fate, and other endangered animals – when the Earth will serve only their electronic copies?

PETA (born People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) – the organization leading the fight for animal rights – after the death of the last mascot of the University of Georgia (University of Georgia) Bulldog Uga VII applied to the sports director with a proposal to replace the dog mascot of a dog or robototizirovannuyu costumed mascot, but not for another dog.
“It is time for the university to end the cycle of suffering of the dogs, which are used to represent the brand,” says PETA Assistant Director Christie Phelps (Kristie Phelps).
