In mid-2009 the Japanese company ZMP has pledged robotic
platforms RoboCar to create vehicles. The proposal is interested. And now the
first such car passes the test phase. It was called RoboCar Z. Together with the
developers of robotic platforms from ZMP on the project for six experts one of
the largest Japanese automakers Fuji Heavy Industries (Subaru) and one engineer
from the company Sanyo.

To its technical characteristics of the car more like a motorbike on four
wheels. Its maximum speed of 60 km / h. Depending on the availability of
batteries – one or two – it can travel without recharging, respectively, 30 or
60 kilometers. Dimensions robotic car – 280 cm length, 130 cm width and 137 cm
height. Cost – one of the main advantages of the machine. It consumes 30 times
less energy than its equivalent petrol counterparts. For frequent daily trips to
the city electric RoboCar Z can make very real competitor to conventional
vehicles. And outside the city, judging by the video, he feels quite
comfortable.
