Robot fish with a fuel cell

Robots-fish are constantly being improved every year and
create new models of the robot fish. Recently, experts from the University of
Osaka (Japan) have developed a robotic fish. Robot fish can move around in the
aquarium, down to the bottom of the aquarium and go up to the surface.

Feature of the device – the use of a miniature fuel cell Power Tube – to drive
the movement of the tail.
The developers planned to use a miniature motor, but its power was high – 1W, to
ensure sufficient long-term autonomous operation of a small device. Therefore,
they have been used "magnetic engine" (a magnet is placed inside the coil),
which allows to provide the desired movement of the tail roboryby, and also was
more cost effective – had the power to 10 milivatt.

University experts are planning to develop a robot that can swim on a single
charge for three days. A robot used in the future in carrying out rescue
operations and marine research.
