Very often on various forums or websites devoted to robotics
can be found such a question: how to make a robot out of scrap materials?
On such issues immediately clear that someone who gives a beginner and not
enough that the meaning of robotics. Continue reading

More models of robots
A light sensor with capabilities of color sensor
An additional touch sensor
The sound sensor that is no longer included in this new kit
The Lego Mindstorms NXT kit 2.0 is a set proposed by Lego robotics constituting
the ideal starting point for beginners but also for those who wish to deepen the
subject of robotics and entertainment programming robots.
The Lego Mindstorms NXT kit 2.0 is today one of the robotics technologies of
leisure most common and most interoperable in terms of hardware and software,
thanks to NXT-G, the programming environment is simple and yet comprehensive.
Hardware:
You can easily extend the standard functionality offered by the Lego Mindstorms
NXT kit base by the use of Lego Technic parts extra. A technical literature very
wide and distributed you can build any kind of robots (humanoid, robotic arms,
rovers, animals …). The Lego Mindstorms NXT kit contains basic instructions on
how to create within minutes one of the 4 robots as standard. The software
programming NXT-G can also provide you access to the community of developers and
hardware and software and to share your creations.
In addition, Lego, but also other companies offer a variety of additional
sensors allowing you to achieve your wildest dreams and make your robots smarter
and interoperable with their environment. Some of these sensors are offered on
this site.
Software:
The Lego Mindstorms NXT kit includes a graphical development environment called
Lego NXT-G and based on professional programming environment Labview (it works
on PC and Mac). This software does not require strong knowledge of programming
because the programming is done graphically using drag and drop blocks.
One of the strengths of Lego Mindstorms NXT is that several additional
programming environments (and often free) exist. Examples include LabView,
Microsoft Robotics Studio (based on Visual Studio allows you to create complex
programs in C #). Other programming environments like performing in Java or C
Lejos as RobotC exist.
The sensors provided in the Lego Mindstorms NXT kit:
The ultrasonic sensor allows your robot to detect the distance with obstacles
(as do bats).
The light sensor measures the light intensity for example to enable your robot
to seek or shun the light.
Finally, the contact sensor can detect obstacles or to locate an object to
grasp.
Brick Lego Mindstorms NXT 2.0: It is the real brains of your robot. It connects
to your PC via a USB cable or Bluetooth. It is possible to configure a PDA, your
cell phone or a joystick to control your robot. It is powered by 6 LR 6
batteries not included.
TX40 Robot to Meet the Demands of Lab Automation
End users and system integrators in the lab automation market highlighted the need for a smaller robot capable of being installed in the confined spaces often encountered in research labs and manufacturing cells. Stable responded with a brand new machine – the TX40. Continue reading
Air Zinger Robot
The Air Zinger uses air pressure to inhale or blast out a ball (included) through its cannon like loader. Zigging and zagging is no problem with its wired controller. Continue reading
Robotic Arm Trainer Kit
The Robotic Arm Trainer teaches basic robotic sensing and motion principles, and tests your motor skills as you build and control the arm. You can command this unit with its five-switch wired controller with corresponding lights to grab, release, Continue reading

There is a chance to buy a robot arm and put his house

Robots have long earned a living space to assembly-line world automotive
industry. In recent years car production significantly affected by the financial
crisis. As a result – the restructuring of enterprises. American concern
Chrysler sold his old plant Delavara University (USA). And in February 2010,
University sells at auction equipment shops "Chrysler. Among other things, – 200
robot manipulators.
Of these, 181 robot brands Nachis, a couple of robots and ABB robots Fanuc. It
may well be interested in the auction small industrial enterprises are ready to
automate manufacturing processes. But individuals can buy a pair of industrial
robots. Why? For example, to arrange a ride to surfing without leaving home.
Americans launch a military robot to carry goods
Boston-based Boston Dynamics, known for its robots BigDog and PETMAN, announced last week the beginning of the industrial production of self-propelled mobile robot Legged Squad Support System – an acronym LS3. This robot “mule” for the U.S. Army conducted a few years. Continue reading

Why Oliver Pauels baby dolls turned into robots
There are people who believe robots toys for adults. There are people who “play robots” so professional, that make scientific and technological progress to move twice as fast. There are people who “observe” the development of robots with the position of high art. Continue reading
